    My first one from what I can remember was jojos. I was around 10, I just stumbled upon it while watching videos on my mom's computer. (But for all I know it could've been earlier than that) Personally I'd recommend hellsing. But if they want something more lighthearted and innocent then love...

    Hellsing (both 2001 and 2006) are great options The first anime has a bit of filler, if you want something faithful to the manga go for 2006
