I'm watching Oreimo for the second time. It's been maybe 13-14 years last time I watched it.

I love Kirino because she want to expose her passion but has to keep in mind that Otaku aren't a good thing (in this anime).

BUT. There's a but...

I dislike the fact that she's below the right age to get all the eroge stuff. They seems to let it go like it's nothing wrong, she can have some R-18 in her bedroom, etc

I'll begin ep 7 from season 1 soon. It's like make a return in the past for me...when I was an otaku at 100%/cosplaying/etc. 😍
 
It came from the era when being an otaku are heavily looked down upon, so I guess she wants to save face not to display all the down bad stuff in her room when normal otaku stuff is already "bad", just in case she had friends over. That said, enjoy Oreimo. Good classic.
 
Hm, I never thought that being an Otaku back then was looked down. Sorry, I am speaking from POV of someone who doesnt have easy access to internet two decades ago
 
That's pretty normal, I too had limited access to the internet back then. But I guess I'm lucky to have some relatives that are into Japanese media and got exposed to anime/manga and able to borrow their DVDs and books. And local TV show anime shows alongside cartoons back then were a godsend haha.

It's a genre where the story focuses on lighter themes and aims to "heal the soul". It means healing the viewers' soul. The stories can be either slice-of-life or with plot.

An example of recent shows would be Yuru Camp as I said before, or Campfire Cooking in Another World, or Welcome to Japan Elf-san.

It's Hell's Paradise : Jigokuraku that I started watching yesterday. It's still in season 2 episode 4 now. Have you managed to get into it?

Not yet, but Hell's Paradise sounds interesting cus it's oxymoron lol
 
I remember having a blast reading doujinshis where Kirino was punched by a group of classmates, it's one of those characters that i HATE.

Kuroneko on the other hand is a lovable character. I might read it again to remember a few chapters <3
