My neighbor was complaining again this morning, everything is a problem for him. He talks about the government, weather, even the price of food. I used to listen to negative people until i noticed my mood is changing too. Now, I limit how much access people like that have to me. I don't fight with them, I just distance myself.

Honestly, I don't really talk much with my neighbours. Just the occasional smile and nod if I pass by them. I don't like negative talk, if someone always starts talking negative I will usually tend to avoid or cut short conversations with that person. Life is too short to be moody and negative.

Well, the best way to handle such kind of people is to never focus on them and make sure that you concentrate on your mission. There should be a purpose and mission in your life. Negative people just distract you and it is quite common to encounter such kind of people.

I would always remind myself "Every day is a good day to be a good day" then I would be able to kinda imagine what had taken its place in their lives that coerced or influenced them to be negative, because there's so many wars and violences, I'd rather lose an argument rather than kinship

As much as I loved my grandmother, she had the annoying habit of always complaining about everything. In fact, the last time I visited her, in 2005, my partner and I stayed with her for a week. It was... shall we say, stressful, to say the least. Her complaining about every little thing really got on my nerves, and I'm the type of person who attempts to stay optimistic Unfortunately, my grandmother died later that year. We knew it was coming. She was 86.

Anyway, I'm pretty difficult to offend. If I don't like what somebody is saying, that's a part of their problem, not mine. If somebody is a chronic complainer, then sure, I could point out some of the alternatives that I would reconsider how bad things are comparatively. But most times, it's usually not worth my energy to even attempt to engage in that battle. Online, that translates to Block or Restrict or Ignore...whatever the terminology is that either temporarily mutes that person, or if it's bad enough, I"ll completely block a person. (I've only done that twice, so I'm pretty tolerant, unlike my fiancee. She's blocking people all day.)

I really like Zack's point of view though.. "Every day is a good day to be a good day." Although, I have a variation of that, "Today has the potential to be a good day or a bad day, how will I choose to live it?" This re-enforces the fact that I'm responsible for my own actions, and behavior. It removes potentially giving away my personal power to people filled with hatred and destruction. It allows me to re-frame circumstances into lessons that I must conquer. Some days, I'm doing a lot of breath work. LOL

Actually that's the meaning of my motto Sen, hehe

Perhaps I would outwardly go along with it to avoid damaging my relationships with others and to avoid appearing like an odd one out.
