How did you get into anime? 🎬

Very sharp recommendations imo, though i'm not sure if i'd come up with a really deep show like GITS, maybe I'll go with Blood+, Trigun, more easygoing , maybe Cowboy Bebop?

Someone recommended Blood+ to me when I first started watching anime, and the part with the little brother really disturbed/upset me. It was really good up till that point, though. I've tried to rewatch it years later, but within the first episode, I think of the little brother and immediately feel sick. It almost turned me off from anime completely, so I don't think it's one I'd ever recommend.
GitS is really philosophical and it has crime, of course, but nothing as bad (imo) as what happened to the little brother in Blood+. I'd probably refer GitS to someone I know likes things like NCIS.

Certainly, the manga is way better imo, maybe something like Cowboy Bebop should do the trick then. Deep ones like Lain, Evangelion might work as well.

I've seen Lain so many times, and my brain still does the dial-up noises with it. I've never actually seen Cowboy Bebop or Evangelion. I think I've seen parts of Evangelion at some point, but I don't really remember much. I'll give those a shot soon~

My interest in Anime is a recently discovered hobby. I never took any interest but my nephew and niece were very much into it. Out of curiosity, I once looked into it, and after a few episodes, I got hooked into it.

It usually happens like that for most people. Whenever you're with people who engage in their own different hobbies different from your own, there's always a chance of getting influenced.

I only recently got into anime and had never had any interest in it before, that was until my son got to talking to me about the anime he had been watching and was showing me some clips of the series he had been watching. I got curious and started watching, and now I find myself watching whenever I have the time.
