Somehow i remembered Life Is Strange. That is also a very good underrated game, it came to mind because i played it with my ex-gf who (also) wasn't gamer.

The Alone in the Dark saga back in the early 90s. Literally i had nightmares over this game when i was little. This saga was so unique back then but it was horrible put aside by the Resident Evil Franchise (for good reasons!)

Kyoani messed up a bit by adding tons of kawaii stuff to the show, but it's still pretty enjoyable. The movie is top tier anime.

That show is deeper than it seems. The yuki-chan ark to me is the best. The movie was great also, if you only watch the s1 and s2, you might not really get what's going on. To me is like the evangelion of the 00s.
