How did you find OtakuForums?

I thought it’d be fun to start a little community icebreaker. How did you end up finding OtakuForums? Was it through a Google search, a link from another site, social media, or maybe a friend?

It’s always interesting to see where everyone comes from, and it helps us understand how new members are discovering the community. Feel free to share your story, even if it’s as simple as “I was bored and typed anime forums into Google.”

Hi! I'm probably the first to join your forum I was watching an anime (Oreimo) and it gave me the idea to search a forum so I can share and make a friend if it's possible!!! I've googled a tons of forum in French at first because it's my native language but I've decided to search English Forum because the French' ones wasn't updated for a while!

Hi Saya! Welcome to the Otaku Forums! You are indeed the first person to join the forum . To be honest, I didn't expect anyone to join this forum due to the plethora of anime forums out there. Glad you managed to find the forums out there in the wild.

I think it's better to promote as much as you can. Maybe traditional ways are in other boards or even MAL forums..

It would be cool to have a welcome party while we all watch a show together

The welcome party sounds like an awesome idea. I will get started on promoting OF (not sure if I like the abbreviation tho hahaha) on platforms I am active on this weekend. I think once we can get a few active members onboard, a welcome watching party would be an awesome idea.

I'm in. Maybe a movie would be cool though i'm not familiar with anything interesting for the past few seasons (i'm only watching one piece hehe)

If the new Demon Slayer movie comes out on Netflix or Crunchy Roll, that would be a great movie to host as a welcome party movie. But I don't see any news anywhere as to when it would be released.

the board name suggests a lot, i used to host an otaku board for over 6 years and its userbase was smaller than this

I'm all for promoting this forums! My idea, may I make a community rpg with us the pioneer and active members as the casts? Draw dormant potential participation if we include possibility for new members to be part of the casts in the future

What ever happened to your otaku board? to have a forum active for 6 years is not a easy task. Just curious.

Completely understand you, I do hate joining larger forums where your words are not heard.. glad to have you onboard!

Randomly thought while watching anime "Hey why dont i join a forum for otakus" and searched otaku forums, this website was the first thing to pop up. Im glad I joined to express my love for anime!!
