This, Isekai thing started to booming in modern era like, 1.5 decades ago.
I know it's not just anime, it's even in video games.

So it's like, multiverse crossover? Right?

Okay, when you done help explaining isekai to me in your personal way of perspective, recommend me isekai anime and game that you truly really enjoyed.

Although I'm not 100% sure what the term Isekai means, I think it means, most simply, like if you or I, a normal person, living in the normal, boring world, found ourselves inside of a fictional world, whether that be anime related or not. An example manga that I read years ago, was No Game, No Life (I think that was the name of it), where the protagonist woke up inside of an RPG video-game world.

I think there's quite a few fan-fiction stories that have been written with author self-inserts that would probably qualify as Isekai as well. I know that I enjoyed writing a private story where I entered the realm of Ah! My Goddess a couple decades ago. Maybe that's why I enjoy role playing within the anime setting so much. And to be fair, most people play characters that have some component of their own personality incorporated into the fictional realm anyway-- even the personalities that are repressed or socially taboo, like the Shadow Run character, Lindsey, I played about seven years ago...
