So I've played up to Emerald. Pokemon Blue was my first 2D Top Down RPG (I think), and then my neighbour showed me Pokemon Yellow, around the time Pokemon started airing in my country. I was completely blown away and the rest is history.

There are many I would like to discuss, but I most of the times am guy with few words. So Imma just wait you friends break the ice

Now I'm playing on PRO and PBO.
 
Now this is a thread that I would love to jump onboard. I still have another forum that is very Pokemon Centric, kind of in the dead winds at the moment due to lack of my attention to it, anwyays.

I started with FireRed back in the days on my GBC. That thing was fire!! I recently replayed FireRed on a Emulator just for nostalgia's sake. Also recently played Violet which I liked, got my hands on Legends ZA but not a huge fan of the live action battle system. I like the turn based battle system much better. Allows me to strategize my attacks instead of pushing every button on my console to launch attacks. Really looking forward to Winds and Waves.

Thinking of playing either Arceus or Sword/Shield until it comes out.

But to be honest, nothing can beat the original Pixel Art Pokemon games. Those things are just something else! Alof of the new games tend to come with a lot of bugs and the games kinda feel a bit cheap in terms of art style in my opinion.

I have not yet dipped my toes into Romhacks and online versions of Pokemon, are they worth playing? I have heard a lot about PRO but I haven't got into it yet.

But fire red is for the GBA lol!

I started with Pokemon Yellow, but quickly migrated to Silver, the game was on loan from a neighbor, which apparently forgot that i had it, but as a right dude i am, i gave it back when i bought one for myself, i spent $30 back then (2003). I remember that my mother wouldn't let me play the game because it was "Satanic".

Anyway, i have the Emerald game as my favorite from all the pkmn games i've played because of the double battles and the addition of types and overall well balanced natures.

I spent like 600 hs trying to build the best team ever, but i don't remember my roster right now.. and the cartridge passed away in a massive console selling event i did a few years ago.

My bad, I mean the GBA haha. Got confused cause I had both the GBC and the GBA back then. I have no idea where they are now and what happened to them 🫣

I have been eyeing Emerald to play on my emulator ever since the whole Rayquaza event on Pokemon GO back in Oct. I did a few double battles in Violet but I feel like the newer gen games kinda take out the fun in leveling up Pokemon. I still remember the amount of trouble I had to go through to evolve my Magikarp to a Gyarados on FireRed. But the feeling of achievement was good when it evolved. In Violet I didn't feel a thing when it evolved.

Coming up with the Roster is the most difficult thing in Pokemon games tbh.

Rayquaza arguably is my fav legendary pokemon, also the music on their lair is one of the best (ho-oh maybe the counterpart?) The lugia maze on Silver was good too!
 
My personal favorite legendary would be the legendary bird Articuno, not just the regular Articuno, but a Galarian Articuno. Never caught it before, but ever since I spotted one on Pokemon Go a few years back this has been my ultimate goal to add to my Pokemon Home.

Articuno, Celebi, Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle, Gaedevoir, Gallade are some of my all time fav Pokémons
