The First Game You Ever Played

A friend reminded me of those days we first played games at a game shop. It was that old PS1 with Winning Eleven and with a faded controller. But the joy we had that time is unparalleled. There was no stress, no bills, just having fun. Now everything has turned into a subscription. Even to download game now is like a whole project. I sincerely miss when gaming was so simple.

Mine was Need for Speed hot pursuit 2 (2005 version) on PC, it was on CD which my friend gave me to install. Thinking about it now I doubt it was even a legit copy, may have been a pirated copy which I probably would have had no recollection of. I used to enjoy the heck out of that game, untill I got introduced to Underground 2, Carbon and Most Wanted in the NFS Franchise.

I do miss the good old days of just pure gaming, no subscriptions, no thinking thrice before buying a game that costs almost a $100 just to realise it's not even worth playing.
