Things in RPGs that annoy you

Do you have certain things in RPG's that annoy you?

I have a lot, but one I would mention at the moment is - 4th wall jokes. I am not sure why I dislike that, but yea, it ruins the mood for me

The escort missions annoys me. I don't like the NPC walking slowly while enemies are everywhere. Another thing is grinding for hours just to level up once.

Escort missions can be definitely one of the most annoying RPG mechanics. Grinding only feels fun when there’s a sense of progress - otherwise it just feels like a chore.

The side quests, they always distract me from the main quest then I end up not completing the game..

Yeah, especially when side quests are more interesting than the main story. I end up overlevelled and burned out before finishing the game.

Ohh yeah, the countless number of times I had been overleveled for the main quest haha. Specially in Pokemon haha. I always had overleveled pokemon who can take down my opponents with one attack.

This for sure! I have always been someone who likes to move at a faster pace in games, but when it comes to escort missions, how slow the NPC is made to walk really annoys me. Even if you run ahead, you still have to wait forever for them to catch up, so you really can not win.
